Writing your own Linked Production brief

Writing your own Linked Production brief

Complete the following and post it to your blog in a new blog post called 'Linked Production brief'.

Your Critical Investigation topic:
To what extent do the hyper-masculine representations in films such as ‘Pain & Gain’ have a negative effect on male audiences?

Your Linked Production brief: overall my plan for a linked production is to do it based on the documentary based on body building and what lies beneath the "aesthetics"; how intense training can actually be when an athlete turns professional and what it actually takes to maintain this lifestyle; it takes blood, sweat and tears to stay on the top and acquire the best physique in the world.

Length/size of production (e.g. 3 minutes, 5 pages etc.): My goal for the production is for it to last around 2 to 2 and half minutes to ensure that i can show all the representaion mentioned within my essay and apply them within the conventions of the documentary

Give an example of an existing media text this is similar to what you plan to produce: Generation iron: the film follows the next generation of bodybuilders as the industry opens up to the viral internet stars as well the younger bodybuilder; finally this also links closely to my main critical investigation which suggest what these body builder's are doing pushing the limits of the human physique which could suggest the masculinity represented within the documentary.

Give an example of an institution that would produce or distribute your planned production:
for example film London which helps fund for microwave films and feature films.

How would your production reach its audience?
As the majority of its audience are use the internet very highly it means that it would be much more easier to reach my audience through You-Tube and  also Netflix which is where I was able to find all the documentary's that have given me the aspiration to make a documentary for my linked production.

Who do you plan to work with on this project?
